Eat Well, Waste Less! June 17, 2014 09:38Did you know in the UK we pay for but do not eat a whopping £10.2 billion of food a year? (This works out at costing the average UK family almost £60 a month!) To raise awareness of the growing issue of food waste and how we can help the environment, we have created a handy infographic to help you start changing your household for the better and save money. You’ll find out how much food is wasted daily in the UK and how much that wasted food costs you. The graphic also gives you some top tips on how to reduce your waste including recycling, storing food properly and learning what the ‘best before’ dates really mean. You’ll be surprised how much food is actually wasted and how much you can save by just understanding dates and storage instructions properly. Take a look at our Eat Well Waste Less infographic below to make a real difference to your kitchen, your wallet and the environment. More info can also be found here

Banbury Food Fair 2014 May 23, 2014 14:44We are pleased to announce two fabulous Chefs who will be gracing the Pudding Pie Cookery marquee with their superb culinary skills. Brian Turner, one of TV’s best known chefs, will be the celebrity guest at this year’s Banbury Food Fair. Also appearing on the day will be Kimberley Wilson – a finalist in the fourth series of BBC2's The Great British Bake Off – who will demonstrate the cooking skills that saw her become runner-up in the popular TV contest. Mr Turner took part in the first ever Ready Steady Cook programme and did more than 14 years on the very successful show. He has also made regular appearances on This Morning, Saturday Kitchen, Daily Cooks Challenge, and many others. In the 2002 Queen’s Birthday Honours list he was awarded a CBE for his services to tourism and training in the catering industry. Kimberley’s TV appearances have gained her a reputation as a skilled cook with a cool head and a talent for flavours in food. She began cooking at the age of nine, preparing meals for her family and has developed a varied menu influenced by foods discovered on her travels and from her Caribbean heritage. Kimberley has a passion for bold flavours and unusual flavour combinations – and she loves to prepare food that makes people smile.
